Buying Guide: Key Considerations For Numeric Cake Decorations
What occasion is this for?
Formal milestones benefit from gold or champagne tones; playful parties can embrace colorful designs. Choose a set that aligns with the cake’s style and the overall party theme.
Which cake size and shape?
Smaller tiers may need compact numerals to avoid crowding. For multi-tiered cakes, consider an acrylic topper set with a cohesive look across tiers.
Safety and materials
Look for smokeless, non-toxic wax for candles and durable, reusable toppers in acrylic or thick material for longevity. Always supervise lit candles and keep away from children.
Reusability and cleanup
Reusable toppers save money and reduce waste. Non-glass options with simple cleaning instructions are preferable for frequent events.
Durability and readability
Acrylic toppers should maintain shine with proper cleaning. Ensure numbers are large enough to be readable in photos and from a distance on the cake.
Budget and purchase confidence
Gold and glitter finishes tend to be pricier; colorful options can provide striking visuals at lower costs. Consider whether you want a single-use set or a long-term decorating solution.
