This healthy shamrock shake recipe is nutrient dense, balanced and absolutely delicious! If you’ve never had a shamrock shake, it’s essentially a mint flavored milkshake! This version is healthy, packed in green superfoods, and is not only toddler-friendly but kid-friendly too!
Smoothies are typically great during the spring and summer months, but I created this particular one with St. Patricks day in mind! Make this delicious mint shamrock shake for your little ones on March 17th for the perfect, healthy start to their morning or as a snack!

Ingredients
- Milk of Choice (I used Whole Milk)
- Frozen Banana
- Peppermint Extract
- Spinach
- Spirulina Powder
- Date
- Hemp Seeds (Optional)

Instructions
- Add all of your ingredients into a blender and blend on high for one minute. Pour into your serving cup and enjoy!
Hint: Make sure to blend the shake for a full minute so that the date is completely blended down.
Substitutions
- Dairy-Free – Use soy milk or ripple milk for a protein packed, dairy-free option.
- Vegan and Vegetarian– Use a plant based milk to make this recipe vegan.
This recipe is already gluten-free and lacto-ovo-vegetarian friendly.

Storage
Once blended, this green glow smoothie will not hold up very well if it sits out too long. As a result, I don’t recommend you refrigerate it for later consumption.
